House Doorn
The former house of Kaiser Wilhelm from Germany is to be visited in the nearby located town of Doorn. The German emperor was expelled from his country after World War I. He asked for asylum in the Netherlands where his cousin Wilhelmina of Orange reign as queen. This house is still decorated as it was at the time the emperor lived here.
The home and working office of the beloved Princess Juliana and her husband Prince Bernard. At this spot was Princess Beatrix was raised. Nowadays the former Queen Beatrix lives in the nearby located Drakensteyn Castle. You can visit Soestijk Palace and have a nice stroll in the royal park. The palace is to be visited in the weekend.
Nowadays almost in the middle of the town of Apeldoorn you can visit royal palace 't Loo. The construction was started in 1684 by order of the famous couple King William III and Mary Stuart II of England. The palace was inhabited by the sister of queen Beatrix, princess Margriet and her family untill the early seventies. The palace has been totally renovated in 1984. This palace can be visited from tuesday untill sunday!
