The Ruwinkel Estate is ideal for young children and nature lovers; it’s located in a wooded area, and you can enjoy hiking, biking, mini-golf, or tennis at the park.
The dining options are also top-notch—Juffrouw Tok, in particular, comes highly recommended; they serve the best chicken in the Netherlands, prepared in the authentic Portuguese style.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
In short, Ruwinkel is a wonderful place to stay.

Spent a midweek stay in a bungalow with my partner. It was nice, clean, and in perfect condition. The staff were friendly, both at the front desk and in the restaurants. A big plus is the variety of dining options—there’s something for everyone. A wonderful experience—we’d definitely go back. There are many destinations within a short drive, and you can also go biking and hiking here. We can definitely recommend this park.

Great place to spend a vacation. The cottages are designed so that everyone gets some sun. Well-equipped cottages with fireplaces. The bedding is provided. Quiet park, no view into your cottage from neighbors. There’s a restaurant on the grounds where you can enjoy delicious chicken, among other things—which we do at least three times a week. We visit this park several times a year; the forest is right across the way—just cross the little country road and you’re there. We always bring our two little dogs along and enjoy the forests and parks in the area. In the winter, we have a glass of wine, light the fireplace, and just relax.

Just got back from a week at Ruwinkel with my wife and our dog. All in all, a solid, well-deserved 9. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk (no digital nonsense, etc.). We had a 4-person cottage… everything was spotlessly clean… plenty of everything provided… and plenty of space around the cottage. In short, it was just great—highly recommended for anyone looking for peace and quiet.

We love coming to this vacation park. The vacation homes are comfortable and always very clean. We don’t have an opinion on the facilities at the park. We like to come here for a week or a weekend to enjoy the beautiful surroundings—cycling and hiking through the Gelderse Vallei or along the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. If you enjoy visiting attractions, there are plenty to choose from, such as the Grebbelinie Visitor Center, the Tobacco Museum, Amerongen Castle, the Pyramid of Austerlitz, and, of course, the historic city center of Amersfoort. Another highlight: the food at Juffrouw Tok, a restaurant at the vacation park that serves a variety of “chicken dishes.” This was our eighth visit here this year, and once again we enjoyed the hospitality, the nature, and the delicious food at Juffrouw Tok.
